"When you are going to sleep, consciously end your day. A lot of times for people who have difficulty with sleep their mind continues to race and they really haven't let go of the day.
One way to accomplish this is to develop a ritual or routine prior to sleep that signals this ending of the day to the body and mind.
One of the things I recommend with somebody who is constantly tense and has diffuse pain and achiness is a good hot bath before going to bed.
Work with consciously relaxing the tissues, relaxing your body and entering sleep, and many times difficulty with sleep is resolved just by a simple measure like this. "
